About the artist/collaboration: "Nathalie Lete was born in 1964. She lives and works in Paris. She works in many ways, mixing different techniques and mediums, illustration, ceramics, textile and painting... She is inspired by her travels, but also by the mixing of vintage toys and old engravings of flowers and animals."
The prints are based on animals and florals with the starting point having been the artist’s acrylic paintings, the designs then being “artfully arranged together to create an imaginative and fun story.” That means a tropical jungle with chameleons and tigers, along with her signature representation of flowers with cats, birds and rabbits.
“In my work, I create a fantasy land for myself,” she said. “A land that I want to share with other people to make them dream. It's all about flowers, animals, birds, naivety and colours. I want to create a cocoon that brings happiness and harmony all around. The relationships between the different elements tells stories, stories that create a beautiful atmosphere.”
